Aaron’s parents were up visiting for the last almost two weeks from Florida and Eli LOVED it!! We didn’t take near enough pictures, but we were just having so much fun we didn’t think much about grabbing the camera.
They flew in on Thursday night and Eli was beyond excited to see them when they pulled into the garage. It was so funny. He just kept yelling “PA! PA! PA!” Like he was astonished that they were actually there in front of him instead of on the computer screen.
On Friday they kept Eli while Aaron and I went to work and then we tried a local Mexican restaurant right near our house for dinner. That saturday I took Gloria to Indianapolis for some shopping and we found lots of good stuff at Homegoods, Marshall’s and TJMaxx for the house. I found some new trucks for Eli and he LOVES LOVES LOVES them. You should know, the truck Eli is “riding” is not for that in the slightest. It has a drill that lets him take it apart and reassemble, but he loves riding the thing for some reason or another. Ha! Oh well. Whatever entertains him.
Sunday dad preached at their church so we all went their instead of our normal church to watch and support him. Then went to Fort Wayne to celebrate a very early birthday dinner for Aaron.
Break for kisses.
The week was much of the same. Gigi and Pa kept Eli while Aaron and I worked. When we got home we would have dinner and then play with Eli till bed time at 8:30 then Aaron, Gloria, Steve and I would either watch a movie or play Sequence.
We watched “Wreck it Ralph” one night and if you haven’t seen it you need to! It was so fun, cute, and entertaining. I think it is a movie that I want to own.
The other fun part of the week was taking Steve and Gloria to Shipshewana, IN. They love the Amish and all the stuff they make so we made the 2 hour trek north on a cold saturday and checked it out. It wasn’t much fun for Eli since it was lots of car time but it was still a nice trip. Lots of cool stores to explore. I look forward to going back in the summer when the flea market is open and it is warmer weather so Eli can run around outside.
On Sunday after church we went to lunch at mom and dad’s and just had a relaxing afternoon. The Schwartz’s were there and we all just sat around eating and telling stories. Both great things for a good time.
Our attempts at a family photo. (Tough with a two year old.)
The house emptied out on Monday and Eli still looks around for Gigi and Pa. It is very sweet to me that he loves them so much seeing them as little as he does.
